“LLP Petrochina International Kazakhstan” engages in socially responsible business practices that focus on both increasing local employment opportunities and reducing adverse environmental effects. The organization works with highly qualified individuals that have industry expertise and experience in this area.
All phases of the oil refining process are covered in the plant’s environmental issues, along with the creation of goods with high environmental standards, the usage of which significantly reduces environmental pollution and its effects on human health. An independent laboratory of IST-ECO LLP regularly monitors the environment in the plant’s industrial and sanitary protection zone.
Employees of refineries are required to complete ongoing training and retraining (advanced training) in the fundamentals of working in the environmental system, and regular monitoring of the performance of functional duties by experts in the field of compliance with industrial safety rules and requirements and safe working conditions is carried out.
The “LLP Petrochina International Kazakhstan” plant conducts the following types of monitoring in accordance with the Industrial Environmental Control Program:
monitoring the air quality in the atmosphere
monitoring water quality
monitoring the soil
radiation safety surveillance
controlling physical elements during production
The company develops and puts into action a number of environmental preservation strategies every year. Therefore, a number of environmental events totaling 17,380,000 tenge are scheduled for 2020–2021. Designing the work for the installation of gas analyzers at organized sources of emissions is one of the crucial tasks. The purchase and installation of gas analyzers at these sources will then be completed based on the design solutions.
Additionally, the company performs annual landscaping projects on the nearby land. 370 units of deciduous and coniferous tree seedlings were thus planted for the years 2017 through 2019.
